SAHARA THE FLOWER SAMURAI CHAPTER REVIEW
Chapter 1: Sahara
Sahara is a new series by Shibata Yusaku, the former assistant of Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece. The artistic style is clearly inspired by Oda's. The first chapter opens with our main protagonists, dies of hunger and buys a modest amount of food. When he starts drinking his water, he sees two children out of the corner of his eye. They seem to be hungry and our protagonists give them their food without hesitation.
He hears a conflict between a child and an adult man, who seems to have tried to cheat the child. A psychic conflict causes the child to drop a flower in a beaker. Our protagonists quickly return the flower. The child is disappointed that he or she can not leave the city. Our protagonist uses his samurai sword, to extend what looks like a vine whip, wrapping the tail of the departing plane.
The boy turns out to be a girl, surprising our main character. He asks for the reason for his trip alone, she is worried about sharing that information. Meanwhile, they are taking the aircraft that is hijacked. Our protagonists inform the kidnappers that their sword really can not cut off humans. The flower of the girls is taken by the head kidnapper. He is excited about the potential to sell the flower for "millions." He also takes the ashes from the father of the girls.
He threatens to throw the ashes of his father from the aircraft if she does not answer your question about where he acquired the flower. She tells her captors that her father studied plant life, however, they do not believe her. They plan to take the girl, to help them look for more flowers. The main protagonists tell the captors that he does not believe that "the flowers do not suit them". The leader of the captors, orders his henchmen to "kill" our protagonists.
He easily dispatches the henchmen and the leader takes the girl as a hostage. She bites him and escapes, recovering the ashes of her parents and the flower. However, she falls off the aircraft. Our hero jumps off the aircraft to save her, grabbing her and turning her sword into a flower like a bush that helps in her descent to the ground. The henchmen wait while the mechanic fixes the aircraft. When repaired, they abandoned the old hostages, to be killed by monsters.
The aircraft is destroyed by an automated warrior giant. The sword of our protagonists changes to a third form since it attacks only the giant warrior. Dodge the attack and hit the warrior's leg. The leg begins to fall apart, a tree in flower grows to grow as well. With each attack, flowers sprout where it hits. Unable to defeat the giant warrior, change his sword to the "Swords of flowers". He uses "Form of morning glory", shooting the giant. Then, it quickly changes to "shape of the dandelion", and finally it passes to "shape of the cherry blossom".
A large cherry blossom springs up, as the automated giant warrior is defeated. She introduces herself as Sanjuro Sahara and the girl introduces herself as Yae Tokiro. Yae and Sahara, they decided that they are going to make a trip together. Sahara is committed to his promise to be his faithful guard. The inspiration with the artistic style is clearly influenced by Oda.
I think this is a great advantage since I love the excellent illustrations in the manga that I read. So far I like this series. It's just a chapter, but the promise is there. It is interesting what kind of enemies they will find. We have already seen the automated warrior giant, I wonder if he will face a variety of enemies. The series is in its third chapter, you should start reading this series, I recommend it.
